Cortese – A very gentle wine

Cortese is a DOC white wine that is obtained from the homonymous grape variety that has been cultivated since 1700 both in Piedmont and in Oltrepò Pavese

.

In ancient times a serious disease, phylloxera had risked making it disappear.

The Cortese with the highest quality level is the one grown in the Gavi area (AL). However, that of Oltrepò Pavese and that of Garda have nothing to envy.

Its yield is 110 quintals / hectare, the grape yield is 65% and its alcohol content is 10.5%.

The vines with which it is allowed to produce them are cortese at 80% – 100%.

Its bunches are medium to large in size. This grape variety loves the hills and beautiful tan in the sun.
