Collinsville’s Italian Fest is launching its 35th birthday party with a rare photo exhibit called ITALY: BEHIND THE SCENES.
The show takes visitors for a quick trip to Italy — off the beaten path — to places rarely seen on commercial tours. It goes deep into Italy’s regions – from the mountains to the sea – to visit “the amazing, the unusual, and the unknown.”
The exhibit, open now through Oct. 7, is located at Collinsville Library, 408 West Main.
Library hours are Mon. – Thurs. (9 a.m. – 8 p.m.), Fri./Sat. (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.), and Sun. (1-5 p.m.) The library closes at 3 p.m., Sept. 22, for the parade, and will be closed Sept. 28.
AND Italian Fest doesn’t end there. Learn more about the big Main Street Festival (Sept. 21 & 22), the bocce tournament (Sept. 22nd, Glidden Park), Italian Film (Sept. 20), parade (Sept. 22), and more at www.italianfest.net.
