SLU Professor and Author to be Interviewed on Ciao St Louis

Join the Ciao St Louis Radio program this Sunday, July 23rd, 1pm – 3pm as Michael J Cross (VP of Ciao St Louis) interviews Dr. Cynthia Stollhans, Professor of Art History at St Louis University. Dr. Stollhans specializes in the art of the Italian Renaissance. She travels yearly to Italy giving lectures and attending conferences. Rome is her second home where she conducted research for her best seller: “St Catherine of Alexandria in Renaissance Roman Art”. Her book explains why a medieval female saint from the Eastern Mediterranean came to be such a powerful symbol in early modern Rome. Currently, she is writing a new book entitled: “Renaissance Roman Mistresses: Lives, Lovers and Art.” Dr. Stollhans was born and raised in South St Louis City has been a member of the St Louis University community since 1985. Here in St Louis, she has given conferences at the Italian Club of St Louis and has been an active member of the Italian societies in our city.
