Little Italy Fest-West will once again bring the Old Neighborhood to west suburban Addison. Staged at Centennial Park on Lake Street at Rohlwing Road from Aug. 24 to 27, the four-day extravaganza has been sponsored for the last 12 years by Onesti Entertainment.
Many of the performers at this year’s fest will come from around the country. “I really try to provide a fun combination of local favorites with acts never before seen in the Chicago area,” Onesti notes.
Among the national acts that have performed at past fests are rock legends Frankie Avalon, James Darren and Jay and the Americans; crowd favorites the Bronx Wanderers, with a playlist that ranges from Dion and the Belmonts to disco to Coldplay; “pop-era” trio Tre Bella; and cinematic icon Chazz Palminteri. The fest also features home-style Italian food from family recipes, children’s activities, Italian merchandise, a noon Mass on Sunday and ample free parking. General admission is $8 and kids are admitted free, with free admission for everyone on Thursday. VIP seating is available, and all food is $4 on Friday.
