Performance by Seraphic Fire

On Thurs., Feb. 22 (8 – 10 p.m.), the Grammy-nominated ensemble Seraphic Fire will be special guests at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis at 4431 Lindell Blvd.  They’re there to perform a special piece — Monteverdi’s “Silva Morale et Spirituale” — a piece written for the acoustics of St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice.  This ensemble of eight singers and five instrumentalists from Southern Florida has been labelled one of the “most inventive and adventurous classical music ensembles in the country.”  Cost: $19 – $42.  More information at http://www.cathedralconcerts.org , (314) 533-7662.
